Learning Support Assistant

Learning Support Assistant required for brand new school in Didcot.

 

Sires Hill Primary Academy opened its doors for the very first time in September 2023 and will be welcoming our new 2 year olds into the school from April 2024. The school will eventually become a two form entry primary school with a nursery for children from 2-11.

 

We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who would be excited by the prospect of working in our 2 year old provision and across our Early Years setting, establishing a culture of high expectations, care and kindness for the school’s very first cohort. Sires Hill Primary Academy will work in partnership with Didcot Primary Academy, following the same curriculum and benefitting from the expertise of an established primary school.

More information about the post:

  • The successful candidate will work across our EYFS provision. 
  • The hours of work are 8.30am to 3.45pm and includes lunch cover. 
  • The post is for 39 weeks per year (term time only which includes 5 inset days) and include pro rata holiday pay.
  • You will be paid on the NJC scale, starting at spine point 3.
  • The pro rata salary for this post is £17,759.50. 
  • This post is for an April 2024 start.
  • The successful candidate must have at least an NVQ 2 qualification in childcare or teaching assistant qualification and would be willing to undergo further training. 

 

The successful candidates will be class based, delivering the teaching and learning. The post includes lunchtime cover, supporting children both inside and outside.

Omnia Learning Trust is a not-for-profit enterprise. The salary will be based on the NJC scale starting at point 3 (currently £22,737 FTE). All posts are paid for 44.65 weeks which includes all inset days and 33 days’ annual leave (pro rata).
