We would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new families joining us in Owlet Class. We have a busy year planned, filled with amazing opportunities and experiences to support all children with their learning and development!
In Owlet Class, we have a wide range of thematic activities ready for your children to explore, all based around the seven areas of learning found in the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. These are;
-Communication and Language
-Physical Development
-Literacy
-Maths
-Understanding the World
-Expressive Art and Design
Below you will find our daily timetable outlining what a typical day in Owlet Class would look like as well as our termly topic page. This will support you in finding out more information about what we are learning. We will also share some pictures over the course of the term to share what we have been getting up to!

8:40 | Registration and exploring time (indoor) |
9:10 | Song/story / learning session – talk, number, book, singing, theme or special event Weather |
9.20 | Planning time – children make choices and the talk about what they want to do in the nursery Work time (!) the children are encouraged to do whatever activities they have planned and are free to work in all areas of the nursery, exploring materials, learning new skills and trying out their ideas. All achieved through well planned play, exploring and small focused activities. This could be indoor or outdoor |
10.10 | Tidy up time – children tidy away materials that they have been using. This is a valuable learning experience for the children, developing self help skills and a sense of responsibility for their environment as well encouraging them to co-operate with and help others. |
10:20 | Snack and recall time. Children review what they have been learning by talking about the activities they chose, developing communication and literacy skills.

10:40 | Small group time. This is part of the daily routine that includes activities that have been planned by the nursery staff. |
10:50 | Outside play: This is a time when the children will play freely outside, supervised by experienced staff, developing their physical skills in our extensive grounds. |
11:20 | Selected story Getting ready to go home./ getting ready for lunch |
