Autumn Term

In autumn term, we have learnt so much. Year 1 now know how to write a complete sentence using capital letters, finger spaces and a full stop, and we are working on checking our own work. We have can all use adjectives and a variety of sentence starters and we are beginning to extend them. 
 

Spring Term 

We have really enjoyed reading our two English books this term. We learnt all about the stars in our book called Look Up and thought about using question marks. Then, we read the Secret Sky garden and we retold the story and write a letter to one of the characters. We loved using our fabulous adjectives in this work, and even some exclamation marks!
