Term 1- Let's explore
Let's explore
This term, we will begin our topic 'Let's explore' and our mini topic 'Build it up!'. We will explore our class and wider school environment as well as explore our local area. We will learn about buildings around our local area as well as create our own structures thinking carefully about materials.
We will be learning maths every day. We will begin by focusing on matching, sorting and pattern making before learning more about numbers and how they can be represented.
In phonics, we will begin to learn and write the initial sounds and we will begin a book study on 'We're going on a bear hunt'. You can find out more about the phonics we have learnt on the phonics tab of the website which will be updated weekly.
In addition to all of this, we will also be joining in with weekly PE lessons, Jigsaw, music and RE lessons, as well as a whole range of wonderful experiences through our continuous provision both indoors and outdoors.
