Term 1

In our first topic this term, we have been creating a dance to follow the story of The Jungle Book. We have looked at different ways to travel and how to use our faces and bodies to show emotions within a dance sequence. 

We have also developed our throwing and catching skills, which has allowed us to learn about strategies to help us attack, defend and shoot whilst working in a game situation. We have thought about how to be a team player. 

Term 2

We continued to focus on our dance unit this term, thinking about using unison and canon effectively in a dance. We practiced marching and singing nursery rhymes to help us find the beat, and incorporated this into our dances. 

We have continued to work on games which require us to focus attacking, defending and shooting concepts. We have worked hard on our ball skills and coordination which allows us to focus on playing tactically in a game scenario.
